GP Receptionist/Administrator – Full time or Part time

We are a busy, friendly GP Surgery with around 23,000 patients, combined across two sites.

Applicants should be computer literate and confident in using Windows based packages. Health care experience would be an advantage. Duties will include: receiving, assisting and directing patients, answering telephones, making appointments for clinics, organising repeat prescriptions, liaising with hospitals and outside agencies and community teams, photocopying, faxing, filing, registering new patients and general administrative duties.

We are looking for candidates who are friendly, conscientious, committed and enthusiastic. The work is fast paced and challenging but we can offer a friendly, supportive working environment. Hours are flexible but will range from 07.45 am – 6.30 pm (depending on shift). Early/late starts organised on a rota basis together with occasional Saturday mornings.
