Nurse Practitioners

Advanced Nurse Practitioners have taken additional qualifications in clinical diagnosis and prescribing.

We are very pleased to have the Advanced Nurse Practitioner team joining our medical team.

Urgent Care Centres around the country are being run by Advanced Nurse Practitioners.  Their role has now extended and they are being used by out of hours centres for evening and weekend clinics.

The Urgent Care Clinic (held at the Giggs Hill branch) caters for sudden problems like sore throats, rashes and fevers.  Patients have access to our dedicated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners who can diagnose and prescribe for these conditions, just like doctors.  They are able to direct complex cases to doctors at the surgery, if there is a need.
